Things Fall Apart

It was in 1987-1988 when this book, was my literature text. Had a super boring teacher but somehow, this Book remained etched in my memory until today: even remember the Author’s name, and how its pronounced.

Talks about Christian Missionaries reaching out to a tribe in Africa. The Tribe Leader’s son, though, responded to the Missionaries and subsequently fell out with his father.

I wasnt a Christian then but when years later, I found God. I realised why they were doing this and what really happened… as a Christian now, a father, I was quite torn. Torn that Christianity caused a rift between the Village Chief and his Son. Yet, I know now because the Son responded, he was spared from eternal separation from God…

Things Fall Apart… what an impression it created on me!
